No Evidence to Support Plasma Therapy as COVID-19 Treatment: Health Ministry

Amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis in the country, the health ministry of India on Tuesday clarified that plasma therapy is still in the experimental stage and there is no strong evidence of plasma therapy yet that it can be used as a treatment for COVID-19.

No Evidence to Support Plasma Therapy as Treatment for Coronavirus Disease, We are Still in the Experimental Stage: Health Ministry

Amid the ongoing corona crisis in the country, the central government of India has made it clear on Tuesday that there is no firm evidence yet of treating coronavirus with plasma therapy. 
On behalf of the Health Ministry said that all claims about this are wrong and we are still at the experimental stage. The health ministry gave this information in a press conference on Tuesday.

On behalf of the Ministry of Health, it was said that plasma therapy is still an experimental stage when no firm evidence is found about it, it should not be used by anyone, because it can be harmful to the patient.
Senior health ministry official Lav Agarwal said that the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has started a national-level study to analyze the efficacy of plasma therapy in the treatment of coronavirus disease.


Meanwhile, the case of coronavirus in the country has reached close to 30 thousand.
 According to the latest data released by the Health Ministry, the number of coronavirus infections in India has increased to 29974. 
In the last 24 hours, 1594 new coronavirus cases have been reported and 51 people have died. 
At the same time, 937 people have died from COVID-19 in the country so far, although it is a matter of relief that 7027 patients have also been successful in defeating this disease. 

Let us know that in view of the increasing case of coronavirus in the country, the lockdown has been extended till May 3. However, during the national lockdown to break the coronavirus outbreak, from April 20, some relaxation has also been given in those areas where corona cases are less.
