Space Information -10 Mind-Blowing Facts About Outer Space

The outer space is the region 100 kilometers perpendicular to the surface of the Earth, in which breathing will be very difficult because of the lack of oxygen where the Earth’s atmosphere has almost disappeared.
Space is not completely empty, but rather it is filled with particles scattered here and there. The space probes pass through the solar system and do not revolve around another celestial body.
In this article, we will let you know the concept of space and some facts about it.

Space Information -10 Mind-Blowing Facts about Outer Space

 Space Information

Outer space is a very vast world that contains millions of galaxies, billions of stars, planets, asteroids, comets and other celestial bodies.
Despite the tremendous scientific development in the fields of technology, manufacture of missiles and spacecraft, we have still discovered only the simple and easy thing from this wonderful world with very beautiful details.

A large number of developed countries such as the United States, Russia, Germany, China, and even India are competing to send a number of satellites and space probes to discover new worlds, planets and other viable galaxies on them.

The last of these trips was New Horizons, which was sent in 2006 to Pluto and arrived at the end of 2015, which led to the discovery of this dwarf planet and taking very wonderful pictures of it and a number of other planets and moons during its journey.

Space is not completely empty, but rather it is filled with particles scattered here and there, but it is very far from each other, which makes the density of this substance - which is gas and dust - very little.
The density decreases as we move away from the centers of the masses of stellar groups - such as our solar system - and the centers of galaxy masses.

10 Mind-Blowing Facts about Outer Space

The outer space is the place where a large number of different galaxies and celestial bodies are present. This space is characterized by a very wide and no frictional force which makes the planets and moons rotate without stopping.

The density of gases in it is very low, most of which are helium and hydrogen gases, discovered through scientific research, spaceflight and highly advanced sensors.

Scientists have discovered a set of interesting facts about the universe we live in. The most important of these are as follows:

1. Dark matter and dark energy: Through the study of space and the constituents of stars and galaxies, scientists have found that there are other materials and particles involved in the formation and formation of galaxies.

Scientists wondered about the cause of the coherence of the constituents of galaxies, which are made up largely of gases. The answer was that there is another effect, not only because of the force of gravity.

Dark matter and energy are also responsible for this coherence, and they are present in the universe greatly.
Scientists have found that the universe consists largely of energy and dark matter, whose proportion in the universe reaches 95% of the total content of the universe, while the ordinary matter known to us constitutes 5% of the components of galaxies and the universe.

2. The universe is expanding: After the development of space monitoring devices and telescopes, scientist Edwin discovered that galaxies shift their color towards the red color when studying the color spectrum issued by galaxies.

Through this observation, the world concluded that the galaxies are moving away from each other at different speeds. The universe is still expanding, and it was a single mass and exploded due to its instability, which led to the emergence of these different galaxies and celestial bodies.

3. Space is completely silent: There is no atmosphere in outer space, which means that the sound has no medium to travel to be heard.
Through some experiments conducted on the ground, it became clear to scientists that the sound needs a vector medium in order for us to hear the sound coming from different bodies.
This clarified the reason why we are unable to hear the explosions that occur on the surface of the sun even though they are very strong.
This is because the outer space has very little gas density in it, which results in the sound not being transmitted to us. As for light, it is transmitted because it is made of electromagnetic waves that do not need a transport medium to travel.

4. There may be life on Mars: NASA has confirmed life on Mars after finding species of plants emerging from under the red sand.
On the NASA mars science laboratory (curiosity rover) mission, NASA scientists have found growing moss, fungi and algae on Mars.
The mission took photos of 15 fungus specimens, which is further new evidence of life on the surface of the red planet.
In December 2018, NASA revealed the presence of organic compounds on the surface of Mars and seasonal fluctuations in the proportion of methane in the planet's atmosphere, while some of the strongest evidence so far that the planet closest to Earth may have life.
In the recent period, surprising evidence of the presence of water on the Red Planet has been revealed, which means that living outside the Earth may be possible.

5. There is floating water in space: Astronomers have discovered a huge water vapor cloud floating in space so large that contains 140 trillion times the mass of water in Earth's oceans, surrounds a huge, feeding black hole, more than 10 billion light-years away - making it the largest water discovery ever.

6. Solar System Planets: Many of us believe that he knows all the planets in our solar system. The known planets are Earth, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Mercury, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.
There is also Pluto, but after 2006 Pluto was no longer classified as a planet, but rather a category of dwarf planets.
Of course, Pluto is not the only dwarf planet here. For example, there are Ceres, Eris, Makemake, Sedna, Orcus, Quaoar, Haumea and many other planets that have not been given official names.
The asteroid Ceres is unique because its circular path around the sun is located between Mars and Jupiter.

7. Blackhole myths and mysteries: On the mention of the black hole, the majority imagines it in the form of a two-dimensional disk that attracts everything towards it from one side and does not appear on the other side (i.e. as if it is an actual hole in space that attracts things to a deep hole).

This is not surprising, due to the use of science fiction films and television shows, the literal meaning of the metaphorical designation, black and white, and its depiction on this basis.

But in reality, there is no difference between the black hole and the star or the planet in terms of shape, it is spherical in shape, and it has a very large field of attraction that pulls everything towards it from all directions, due to its high density, so that photons do not get magnetic and therefore we see it in black.

8. The real color of the sun is white: The sun, the source of life on Earth, is not yellow at all, but we see it as well because of the layer of Atmosphere surrounding the Earth. In fact, the sun emits all visible spectrum colors with an equal density of approximately each, which means that the true color of the sun is white.

9. Andromeda–Milky Way collision: Did you know that our Milky Way galaxy now collides with another much smaller galaxy known as Sagittarius Dwarf Elliptical Galaxy and is currently 70,000 light years away from Earth? But the collision is not like the collision of two planets or two stars, but the galaxies merge with each other, as will happen after several billion years when our galaxy will merge with Andromeda Galaxy and they will form a much larger galaxy than ours, the “Milkdromeda Galaxy”.

10. Messier 82 (The Cigar Galaxy): In April 2010, astronomers working in the field of radio waves reported an unknown object in the galaxy “M82”. This object, which seemed to suddenly appear from nowhere, began to emit strange radio waves that were not like anything previously seen anywhere in the universe. Numerous theories have emerged about what this body is, but none of it fit with the observed data.
