It is very easy to make honey and cinnamon drinks for weight loss. Here is a step-by-step method of preparing the energizing drink.

1. Take 2 milligrams of Ceylon cinnamon
2. Mix it in a glass of hot water
3. Leave it for 15 minutes to cool down
4. Add a tablespoon of honey (preferably raw honey)
5. Drink half a glass twice a day.

Do not mix honey when the water is hot because mixing honey in hot water destroys the effect of honey enzymes. Also, make sure that you use Ceylon cinnamon, not the cassia specie.

It has been noted that it works best when taken half an hour before breakfast in the morning and then before going to bed.
You can also refrigerate it and drink the remainder without warming it again.

Are there any scientific studies?

A 2010 study showed that honey can stimulate hormones that suppress appetite. Another study from 2011 suggested that replacing sucrose with honey can help prevent weight gain.
However, I have not come across any proven scientific studies or research supporting the claim that honey and cinnamon combination reduces weight. 

There is, however, a good deal of anecdotal evidence claiming benefits of weight loss, reduction in fats, and many other health benefits.

As with any other weight control program, Honey and cinnamon need to be used with a little bit of change in your diet and exercise. Taking the regimen with some diet control and exercise may actually work. There is no harm in trying.

Caution
1. Consult your doctor before using the remedy especially if you have any health problems.
2. Do not use cassia cinnamon mostly sold in supermarkets and food shops. Cassia cinnamon is toxic and using it regularly or for longer periods may pose serious health dangers. Buy Ceylon cinnamon which is less toxic.

Thanks to the people at PEAS Health for posting the post on honey and cinnamon weight loss. After reading a lot of information about this regimen, I gave it a go.

My problem was that I was a kind of psychological eater. I would always jump to grab something to eat when under stress. Not only that, but I would also eat if I had nothing to do or felt bored. I used to keep something ready in my fridge. During my main meal times, I would eat as much as I could trying to satisfy an inner unsatisfying urge for more food.

When I read about the benefits of honey and the herb, I just wanted to give it a go and derive some benefits. After two weeks of regularly taking it twice a day, I noticed a huge change in my eating habits.

I slowly dropped the psychological habit of jumping on the food all the time. The habit of eating, while feeling bored, started subsiding. The devouring urge during the main meals started dwindling.

I felt a lot better, happy, and energized. When I just stood on the scale, I was amazed at the couple of pounds I lost without any conscious effort. I say without any effort on my part because I did not take it to change my habits. I never knew it would bring that change. That was amazing.

I am neither a doctor nor a medical expert. I don’t know how that happened. I mean I don’t know the mechanism of its effectiveness. I think it regulated something inside my body which gets me rid of the psychological eating issue. As it regulated my eating habits (and something inside my body), I must have eaten a lot less which resulted in fat loss.
